So, a team of junior fell runners packed their bags, grabbed their trail shoes, and headed over the border to take on the Bowland Fells in Lancaster for a brilliant UK event.


It was a long day, well for me as I was driver, but worth every minute the kind of day that leaves your legs aching and your face sore from grinning (or grimacing, depending on the climb). The running? Top notch. Sweeping hills, proper climbs, and just enough mud to keep things interesting.  Not forgetting the cake, which was proper mega!


The weather gave us a solid start blue skies, good visibility, and no waterproofs needed (for a while, anyway). Shame it couldn’t hold out, but at least it stayed windy enough to keep the midges away, which honestly feels like a win in itself.
