Back on My Feet (Mostly)

It’s been a bit of a steady rebuild lately. Nothing dramatic, no Rocky-style montages, just consistent work. Plenty of time in the gym, a lot of walking in the mountains, and getting some strength back into the leg.

The big milestone this month… I finally got out for my first run. It wasn’t pretty, far from it and I’m fairly sure it looked like I was negotiating with my knee the whole way round, but it’s a start and so far, it seems to be holding up.

That said, kneeling is still a bit of a no-go. And before anyone pipes up, that’s the knee op talking not age!

What’s Coming Next

Behind the scenes, there’s quite a bit quietly ticking along. A few projects are in the pipeline that I’ve been working on for a while now, and they’re getting close to being ready to share.

Without giving too much away just yet, they’re going to open up some new and pretty exciting directions when it comes to photography opportunities. It’s something I’ve been wanting to build for a while — so watch this space!

A Bit of Perspective

Away from all of that, it’s also been a month with a few challenges closer to home. The kind that make you pause a bit, take stock, and maybe reassess what actually matters.

It’s been a useful reminder to simplify things, refocus priorities, and reset where the energy is going in the right places moving forward.  Sometimes reminding myself there are some really nice people in this world.....

Looking Ahead

On a more positive note, climbing plans are very much back on the table. and signing up for my instructor ticket later this year... although theres quite the stark difference from getting on some 6B+ routes indoor versus getting outside on trad :-)

Now all we need is for the weather to do its bit and dry the rock out… which, let’s be honest, might be the biggest challenge of all.
