A Month of Contrasts Behind the Lens
This month has been all about variety — and that’s exactly what I love about photography.
On one end of the spectrum, I found myself waist-deep in the sea, camera in hand, photographing a galloping horse powering through the waves. Salt spray, crashing water, and the sheer energy of the moment — it was a challenge, but the kind that leaves you grinning from ear to ear once you see the shots.
Then, in complete contrast, I swapped the chaos of the beach for the calm of the studio. Prom night meant polished lighting setups, staged portraits, and plenty of laughter as people got dressed up and celebrated a big milestone. Very different energy, but just as rewarding to capture.
That’s the beauty of this work: no two shoots are the same. From unpredictable waves to perfectly planned studio lights, it keeps me on my toes and reminds me why I love doing what I do.
And there’s more to come — a few more equine shoots are already in the diary, and they promise even more speed, drama, and probably a bit more seawater. Watch this space!
